Setting permissions on lists in Sharepoint (2003)

Hi all,

I'd like to be able to assign permissions on a per-list basis, however when I follow Microsoft's instructions, inside the list settings I don't get the option to "Change permissions for this <list/document library>"

Could anyone advise please?

I'm presently using 2003 and WSS 2.0

Maybe your account doesn't have the right permissions level to set the permissions, you probably need admin rights

maybe you need to break the permissions inheritance before you have this option ?
