Is it possible to set priority on your wireless connection?

atm there are 2 pcs in the house connected.

My one (gaming) is substantially slower than the other one. I have to wait ages for a video to load and it sends my ping up. The other pc can do it realtime :(

Can I set it so I get 90% priority?

p.s I tried to google. :( :o

No but you can set it to connect to a prefered network in a certain order. If you have SP2 right click on your wireless network icon > view available wireless networks > change order of prefered networks on the left.

It doesnt always work though as Windows will connect to the network with the strongest signal i think.

Or am i not even on subject? :p

im not sure if you can set priority but the real problem seems to be the speed your "gaming" machine is getting instead of the priority its been given. some more details are needed to help you,

what is the speed of the hardware? (router and network cards)
is your other pc closer to the access point than the gaming one?
whats the speed like when the "other" machine is switched of?

I had a similar problem in my house, where the wireless connection had to go through a brick wall (really thick, chimny breast), this made the connection slow and unreliable. This was sorted by installing a wireless repeater out in the hall in the middle of my room and the main wireless router.
