This problem has been bothering me for a day or so, i noticed that my cpu fan was running full speed, 1600rpm, even though i had my system setup so if would run at 60% if temp was below 40c. I finally narrowed it down to RAM settings within the BIOS, for the fan to run as i have set it up, i need to have the RAM voltage set to 2.1 volts and the timings left on auto. If i change the RAM timing to manual and set the timings up as 4-4-4-12, then the fan runs full speed all the time, or if i have the RAM voltage set to auto, again the cpu fan runs full speed. Anybody know why this happens??
