Can anyone give me some advice?

Ive just ordered 3 monitors so I can start using my computer on a desk instead of having it connected to my tv.

How would I connect them to my pc?
Would I use 1 port on my graphic card and a splitter device to connect all 3 monitors to the same port?
Or would I connect each monitor to a different port?

my graphics card has 1 hdmi an 2 dvi ports.

I have never had multiple monitors so I need some advice.

Thanks

Can you connect three monitors to a GTX460 and have them work? I though you'd need an additional GPU.

A single AMD card would obviously not be a problem assuming DisplayPort is used for one of them.

Thanks IronWarrior.

An I am not 100% sure if the one GPU will work to be honest, I have been considering buying a cheap used GTX 460, I could get one for about £75 now.

Does anybody know if a single GTX 460 can run 3 monitors? (maybe I should ask that in the GPU section)

I dont really need a lot of GPU power because I dont use my PC for gaming I just want the triple monitor setup for my uni work.
