Basically I am confident enough to put togeather a new pc (just polished my favourite mallet and will order a new tub of a superglue- not sure what type yet though)
but its the bios, raid configuring, partitioning and hard-drive making sure everything is the correct setting
I have reinstalled windows before but because bios speeds and shiz cant be changed i havnt had to worry about all that.

so yeah any guides on how to do all this, just so i can be more sure etc.

sorry for being unclear

would be for overclocking. But i mean the correct order for setting up the hardware etc, eg is it install windows, change to raid 0, etc

and how to i know if the likes of mobo has latest drivers/bios...those type of guides.

so wasnt really asking questions, just if there is a guide out there that'll teach me these sort of things,

i'll go take a gander about.

cheers, would be going for raid0 (increased performance yeah?) as i would have a portable hard-drive to back stuff up on.
what i dont understand is i hear (well read) poeple having to link up old floppy drives to install stuff and what not, whats that all about?
