Hi guys,

Just wanted to run a possible network setup past a few people if thats ok. Basically one of our sites uses the bonding line solution, so we have 2 routers that connect to a dumb switch to talk to each other which then creates a virtual router IP of 192.168.3.10. The 2 physical bonding routers are 192.168.3.250 and .251. What they are wanting to do is have 2 networks, a corporate and a public.

At the moment the corporate network is setup and running fine, its wan port is connected to one of the ports on the dumb switch that the 2 bonded routers are also connected to. Its setup using a tplink router that uses an ethernet Wan port. The Wan port is setup like so

WAN
IP Address 192.168.3.10
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.3.250 (one of the physical bonding routers)
Primary DNS 192.168.3.250

The Lan side of the router is setup as per the below
LAN
IP Address 192.168.2.10
Subnet 255.255.255.0

DHCP is handled by the server which resides at 192.168.2.1

Thats the overview of the network, as for adding a guest network to the current setup could i not just use another router using with an ethernet wan port and connect it to the same dumb switch as the other one? Was going to use the following IP setup

WAN
IP Address 192.168.3.10
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.3.250 (one of the physical bonding routers)
Primary DNS 192.168.3.250

LAN
IP Address 192.168.20.10
Subnet 255.255.255.0
DHCP set on this router to give out IPs to guest clients

I would use Vlans if i had a vlan compatible ddwrt router or a vlan capable switch but unfortunately i dont. All i need is 2 separate networks that do not need to communicate with each other.

Appreciate any advice

Cheers
