So I've plugged the printer into the homehub (version 1.5) via a usb cable but it doesn't show up in devices. This happens for some other things so I continued.

I'm using windows 7 and I do the following steps:

-Add printer
-Local printer
-create a new port: TCP/IP
-Type in the ip as 192.168.1.253 (untick 'Query the printer and automatically select the drivers to use' box
-It then runs and I had to click custom
-I Select LPR
- Select LPR Byte Counting Enabled
-Enter the Queue Name as LPT1
-Then I select the printer model

This worked fine for the test page but it then failed on me as I tried to do the exact same steps on a different laptop. It wouldn't work on either. Occasionally it would work but would print ten minutes later.

I tried to start from scratch again so I deleted the port in HKEY and I repeated the steps but it wouldn't work.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?
