Setting up a proxy?

Hi,

I'm running Karmic on my home desktop and on my netbook.

I'm going to be out of the country for a while yet still want to be able to access uk services.

The best way to do this i figure is to set up my home PC as a proxy server and configure my netbook to use it when i'm out of the country.

Does anyone have any information on how to configure an ubuntu box as a web proxy?

The easiest approach is to use SSH tunnelling, and just set up an SSH server and you're good to go.

Thanks.

I can already access the box via FreeNX which uses SSH and provides a remote desktop, but is obviously no good for media.

Will look at squid. Thanks
