Setting up a router as a AP ?

Hey all,

Just wondered wether it was possible to set up a linksys router to act as a access point for wireless connectivity on an excisting wired network router.

Bit of a mouthful but hope it makes sense.

Basically i have a wired network at the moment, and want to go wireless on it, but dont want to replace the wired parts i have installed, i know buying a access point would be easier but i got a wireless router off a mate so tryin to set it up. So can the wireless router read the internet off the wired router and pass it onto wireless laptops ?

Ignore the WAN port on the router, just plug everything into the LAN ports.

Only think you need to be careful, is to make sure you disable DHCP on the wireless router, otherwise it will conflict with the DHCP on your main router.
