Setting up a website on my WHS 2011?

Hi guys,

I'd like to set up a website using my server that's on 24 7 for family photos etc. Are there any free programs worth looking at? If not, what's worth looking at within a reasonable budget ... no more than £50 ideally!

I think you can use Gallery: http://gallery.menalto.com/

which requires mysql and php. Might be abit fiddly as its meant to be for linux but there are windows instructions

Bit confused.
With WHS2011 you get a website (kind of).
It gives your users permissive access to shares on your WHS. You can customise a background image too.
If you shares the photos then they can view them, or download them if you give the appropriate permissions.
What more do you want from it?

It wouldn't cost you a penny if you know how. A local web server setup is all you need with the required extensions for example php/asp/html e.t.c.

WHS 2011 already has a small site set up when you install it for downloading the connector software. I think it's setup using IIS.

You dont need to do much to get your WHS site working, just get your router to allow the relevant ports and turn on upnp.
