Setting up an email server

Hiya, got a pc running 24/7... used to use it as an ftp and other things but now have stopped using it, but it still stays on 24/7 so have been thinking of the idea of an email server. Just curious as to what software people use and what 'free' ways there are of having your own email server Also any links or info would be appreciated

hmmm, i might just leave it as it is then

want to run something on this box... never really got into the whole bionic thing and dont think it would intrest me..

What do other people have running on their server pcs ?
