So I got my new 2409w today, really happy with it! Just looking for some a similar program to DisplayMate, have no idea what software is out there just really looking for a program that calibrates my monitor to perform at it's full potential. Oh, and freeware/shareware would be nice :). Thanks a lot.

Plain software won't do it.
You'll need hardware calibrator with its sensor for doing accurate calibration.

I have a 22" LG LCD.

To be honest I was just happy enough to just set it up in a dark room with any of the free calibration screens you can find on the net.

I just used the settings buttons in the monitor menu to get the desired result. It gave me the depth of colour that I was after for photographs, games etc.
