Setting up apple pay / wallet issue?

I am trying to setup the Wallet on my Daughters Iphone.

It wants me to verify the card by entering a verification code that it has sent to soem number that we dont know whose that number is???

I have triedcompletely deleting all the details to do with the Wallet and any cards etc that she has... The one card that is, I have looked through her entire contacts list, for anyone whose number ends in that, but there is no one.

I have no clues as to why it is doing this, and when I get offered t otry a different verification method, the only thing is does is to offer to send a text... To that same ruddy number???

Anyone have any ideas on how I can get it to change that number?

I'm guessing it's the iCloud registered number. You need to go in to her iCloud account and verify that all of the contact details etc are correct.

Isn't it the phone number registered with the card provider? To make sure you aren't just trying to add someone else's card to your Wallet?

My daughter has had a number of different mobile numbers, so maybe this is the bank sending out the verification to one of her old numbers?

Its sunday so nothing can be done tonight, but I will see what I can do tomorrow for her... The thing is, that banks wont let me do anything without her being there and she is in colledge. This makes my life hell because I am her backup wallet and wheil she cannot get any money out, fatty here has to, and of course when she get its sorted, will she pay me back? Will she heck!

Do you or her have access to online banking for that account? If so, you should be able to update the phone number from there.

Aw hell no!

This is my daughters account, there is no way in hell that I will let her have access to it through her computer... Once she learns how to do it, she will know what to do on my account to xfer money over!

I want to LOL here, but Im now shaking in my boots... Ok, I wil LOL at that. see!

While the issue is for the Phone, I thought it would be best there, but sure, wherever you want it, thats cool.

Ok guys... It was indeed the BANK that has that number held and yes, I have now got everything all fixed up etc.

My daughter swears blind that she never had that number, and I remove old numbers so we will never know.

This is one thing that bugs me actually... I have the very same number that I had with my first ever mobile phone, the Nokia 3100 IIRC and I have had easily over 20 phones since, but I still use the very first number that I have always used.

I fail to understand why people get a new phone and a new number and then no one can get hold of them, or they spend a fortune texting other people their new number only to run out of credit and then they cannot phone you till they get more credit???

Its mental?
