Setting up FTP and access externally help please!

I've set up the server fine, I can browse internally with no problems but when I try to access externally via browser to ftp://XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:21 it doesn't work.

I'm a noob to setting up an FTP so please help as MSN is ghey for sending compressed files. ;D

Connecting to 87.194.176.XXX:21...
Status: Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".

I have forwarded port 21 as well.

Have you port-forwarded port 21 on your router to your server's IP address?

Stick 21 into the 'custom port scan' and click 'check port' - http://www.whatsmyip.org/ports/ - it should say 'Port 21 is Open' if it's accessible from the internet.

Says its closed, rebooted my router after adding port 21?

Looks right to me, but still says its closed, rebooted/turned off router, rebooted pc etc nothing?

Are you sure your server is 192.168.0.1? Usually that's the IP of your router.

Open a command prompt and run ipconfig on your server and double check.
