So, I intend to set up my iPhone 4 as a completely new/clean iPhone, syncing just my phonebook and music from iTunes on my PC. Then letting iCloud do it's job with the cloud-based backup.
Then.... I want to upgrade my iPad to iOS5, and also set this up as a new/clean device (skipping any PC sync), after which I'm hoping my iPhone iCloud data will be downloaded to my iPad [contacts, calender, notes, etc].
But for the iPad setup, I'm confused as whether to select "Set Up as New iPad" or "Restore from iCloud Backup".
Surely if I enter my Apple ID on the 'clean' iPad it will download from iCloud, whether it's "New" or "Restored"...?? Any chance I could risk wiping all of my iCloud data if the iPad is set up as a new device?
Thanks for any help
