Setting up new iPad without a pc.

Hello from Bryce canyon.

I'm off to Vegas in a few hours and I'm going to pick up a new iPad while I'm there. Can I set it up without a pc? Will they set it up for me in store if not?

If it's from an Apple store sure they will do it.

Also anything with iOS 5.0+ doesn't need a PC for activation or updating.

Yep, I've had one for a couple of weeks now and only plugged it in to my laptop for the first time this weekend. You'll need a WiFi connection though.

The IPad does not need connecting to a Pc to set up, will work just fine on its own.
