Hello chaps. I have tried a search on the forums and not really found what i'm looking for, so thought i would post.

Ideally i'd like to try running my PC through my HDTV - mostly just to try some games out, but i'm not sure how this works, or how i would go about doing this. Is is fairly simple? Or do i require some sort of software?

My pc specs aren't anything special, but tend to cope with most games at 1440x900.

AM2 3800 @ stock
2Gb Corsair DDR2
Samsung Spinpoint 400gb HD
Gigabyte Geforce 7 7900GTX
Audigy 4

The TV model is a Toshiba 32C3030. The TV is in a separate room hooked up to a DVD surround system. Any help is appreciated, thanks :D

Very simple indeed, you just need a DVI to HDMI cable which can be purchased from ebay for a couple of quid. Select 1360x768 on the Nvidia control panel and plug the DVI end of the cable your 7900GTX and the other end (HDMI) into your tv.

Then for audio you need a 3.5mm to phono cable which can also be purchased from ebay, you plug that into your amp/receiver and your Audigy 4 sound card on your PC.

Your TV might have a VGA connector, if that’s the case you can just plug in your graphics card as if it was a monitor. although its not digital you'll be very hard pushed to see any difference.
