Setting up RAID 0 on Asus P5B Deluxe help needed please

Hi there,

I'm looking to install 2 X 320GB (Sata2) Samsung drives as RAID 0. What drivers should I be using from the disk . . JMircon or Intel? Also I heard there's a method to increase speed peformance in RAID, I only vaguely heard about it so I'd appreciate information on that too.

Also would the the Master drive be connected to the RAID port near the PCI slots?

Hi

just did this today on windows vista. What OS are you using?

I had no problems at all setting up but you do have to keep the JMicron enabled in the bios so that it recognises your DVD or CD. Got that info from a guy in the USA and it works. Used Intel for Raid 0 on SATA ports 1 & 2.

Did not install any drivers as they are in VISTA. You can visit ASUS site for the newest drivers.

Hope this is off some help to you. It is not a difficult at it seems . Great Forum on ASUS you have to join (free) and loads of threads about setting up RAID.
