hi guys,

currently running a sounblaster xi titanium which is either connected to a pair of r1600ts or a gaming headset ( creative hs800)

now the problem i have is that every time i want to swap between them its a case of pulling the pc out and faffing about swapping connections over.

now is there anyway i can use the headset via my mobos onboard and the speakers via the sound card and switch in windows?

Why are you swapping connections over in the first place? The XFi Titanium has a separate socket for headphones, so you should be able to leave both your headset and speakers connected at all times and just switch between them in the control panel.

You're thinking of the Titanium HD there, rids, which has separate stereo/front speaker out and headphone out; the Titanium doesn't. Even if he had a HD, he can't switch between them in the software, thanks to Creative's genius idea, that one has to be removed in order for the other to work.

Titanium has a front panel header which the OP could use to connect to his case. It's either that or using some 3.5mm audio switch.

so to clarify you don't have the Titanium HD with the rca out which you can buy an adapter for

If not then it's a front panel job Or a switch of some sort which you'll find on fleabay
