Setting up TalkTalk broadband in Vista

My dad has TalkTalk broadband connection using a SpeedTouch 330 modem. I have managed to get the modem driver installed in Vista, but I can't seem to establish a connection. I've tried manually setting up a dial-up connection, with the phone number set to 0 (as it is in XP), and putting in his username and password. When it's trying to connect, the modem does appear to be doing something as a green light appears in the SpeedTouch software where it would normally be red. But the connection eventually fails when verifying username and password. Both lights on the modem or solid green.

I've basically looked at the XP settings for the connection, and copied them exactly to Vista, yet it still won't connect.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get it to connect?

Driver problem I would say. Did you install the XP driver on vista as thats not guananteed to work?

It sounds like more hassle than it's worth. I think I'll wait until the Vista driver is available.
