Just got a new VM supplied one of these for a tenner from the usual source, to replace my 4 yr old wireless g Netgear unit (from VM also). It comes with a CD and strict instructions to use the CD to set it up... But surely I don't need this, I can just access the set-up pages, set the security, SSID name and password as before, and job done ?

Had trouble getting the internet connection working, so tried the CD, but then the connection came alive part way through so I did it manually then. Working fine now, stronger wireless signal for sure, and the N speed will cater for the upcoming 20Mb to 60Mb upgrade. The setup pages seem incredibly basic compared to the Netgear, will have to explore further.

Thanks, found all the settings now ! It was great for £9.50, brand new :-) But a D2 version, fairly old but probably makes little difference

only 10Ł for 655?

Yep, there are lots for sale you know where. If you can't get one for a tenner, wait for another one. I was probably lucky with this one, the new ones tend to go for a bit more.

MilanoChris, you still on the original firmware ?

Only 20Mb ? You should be getting much more than that at "N" speeds should you not ?

Thats what I thought - but 20Mb is all I'm getting - not too bothered though as my main pc is wired and wireless is only used for youtube and web browsing.
