Hi fellow OCUK'ers

I need some advice setting up 2 wireless routers under one network, so everyone accessing router 1 or 2 wirelessly or through ethernet can use the dell printer.

So far I have tried connecting the printer to router 2 (Netgear WGR614v9) which is connected to router 1 (Netgear DG834G) through ethernet.

Router 1 has a ethernet connected to a LAN port which is then connected to Router WAN port. But anyone accessing router cannot find the printer over the network or find the homegroup.

All PC/laptop have windows 7 installed

Any help will be appreciated.

By plugging the first router into the second routers WAN port you have created an additional boundary and network which may complicate matters when dealing with networked printers. If you can just disable DHCP on the second router and connect it via a LAN port so all devices are on one network.

As for the printer, is it everyone who cant get the printer or just the people on the second router?

Thanks mate so if I am reading right the setup will be:

Router 1 LAN port -> router two LAN port with DHCP disabled?

With my current setup anyone that's connected to router 1 can not access the printer but everyone on router 2 can
