Looking for advice.

My son is getting the xbox one for Christmas.

i've always been a PS player but his mates all have xbox or are getting one and he wants to play online with them.

I have it already but was wondering if I should already set it up before christmas and then rebox it.
Are there any pros or cons to doing so?

I don't want to activate any 14 day trials or anything.

He got the fifa 17 bundle so I want to make sure that it's already installed but again don't want it to activate or play it. will I be able to download and activate it without having to choose a team etc?

I want him to be able to chat with friends over voice or text but not have to listen to strangers is this possible?

Also my son is 11 so how does it work for accounts. do I create a main account in my name then a sub account for him? can I then put some money on his account so he can buy card packs etc?

Thanks guys ....

J

I would do it now just so the games downloaded etc. You will need to create a profile and xbox live tag for him however and he may want input on that?

I imagine it would be dull downloading in Xmas day!

You can set chat so he can only talk to his friends list I believe.

That's what I was thinking imagine everyone getting the box that day the download servers will take a hammering.

I was wondering about the EA servers as well would it be best to have FIFA installed and running or simply downloaded...
