I understand that my mirrors are never going to give me much of a rearward view (2010 ZX6R) but I just wondered how everyone else has theirs set up. Any hints on how to set them up to give the best angle?

Do you push the stalk forward and turn the mirror inwards to give more of an angle or pull the stalk backwards and turn the mirror outwards?

My advice would be to sit on the bike whilst it is on the paddock stand, place your palms on your belly so the finger tips are touching over your belly button... If you get what I mean.

Sit bolt up right with your hands doing this, you want your mirrors to show those hands, so the right showing the right hand and the left showing the left hand. Sit up, look in mirrors, then lean forward and adjust until perfect.

Once you have that sorted, you will notice they will be too high or low, then just fine tune from there.

This rule allows the mirrors the perfect viewing angle behind you.

Trust me, Ducati 748-916 mirrors are the worlds worst yet using the above technique they are perfect for me :)

Interesting technique. Will give that a go (not that I'm expecting miracles but it would be nice to see something other than my elbows if possible)
