Hi,

I have a helicopter flight booked for the end of the month (i know abit of a rubbish time to go but we had vouchers that needed to be used).

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some settings to get some half decent shots whilst up there.

I'll be using a Nikon D90 with a standard kit lens (18-105mm VR Lens)

Could potentially borrow a sigma 24-70mm 1:2.8 exdg (is this much better?).

Any advice much appreciated cheers

Stick to the VR lens, use a high shutter speed and get a circular polarising filter to try and negate the reflection caused from shooting through the glass.

If the lens has active VR mode thn use that (as opposed to normal). Otherwise as above, keep shutter speeds high and use a CPL to reduce reflections. If it is not sunny you might find the CPL robs too much light.
