hi been playing around with my overclock and my system is quite stable so i decided to use blclk to overclock my ram some more im using corsair vengeance 1600 and have got it to 1900 @1.55v just wanted some opinions if this is safe for 24/7 use as people recomend keeping blclk at 100

I think a small bump on the bclk is absolutely fine, in fact the ASUS auto overclock function uses 103 as a default. People seem to be terrified of using it at all with these processors, due to being told not to go and increase it to massive levels as was required for an overclock on previous generations of intel cpu's. I'd keep it relatively small though, prob a 115 max.

Yeah was used to overclocking C2D using fsb then went SB and reading into OC people saying use ratio but that doesn't OC memory have used asus auto feature when first putting it together and it used blclk so setting it to 102 manually should be fine no to see how much these sticks will OC

That's a good clock on the ram. Do they not have a life time warranty anyway

I go to 104 24-7 but for benching i have gone to 105 can't seen to go higher with a high multi.

You've increased the base clock to around 119?

There's very little to be gained by overclocking the RAM:

i would personally leave the bclk alone.
it is best to give more info in your OP so that people can advise you better.

your system specs would be a good start

I think that it should be like overclock.net and have a system spec at the bottom of your Sig Makes it so much easier when your helping people out.

pages look cluttered then.
we are not overclock.net

if someone wants assistance, common sense dictates that informing the other posters what you are working with is the best way for them to advise you properly.

hi well im glad this isn't a certain .net site had a few bad experiences with people on there well basiclly i set my blclk to 102x48 to OC my ram left the timings at 9.9.9.24 1t and set volt to 1.55 now it all works and is nice and stable i was just worried about using 24/7 if other people had tried these sort of settings thanks basic set up is 2500k asus sabertooth p67 and 8gb vengeance 1600
