Settings for taking snaps of my PC?

Hi all, i have a SFF digital camera, aka compact. It is a samsung WB600 and after trying to take pictures of my PC and coming up with some tragic results, i have decided to ask what settings i should be using to get some decent pics.

I have little to no idea about what all the settings do on my camera but i can set manual aperture and shutter speeds and the ISO. I assume this is enough in combination with 12MP to get some decent pictures?

Personally, I would set the ISO to the lowest number your camera will allow, and use a tripod (Or an improvised stand) then let the camera auto the shutter speed & the aperture. After that, I would take a look at the photo, see what I think, if I think it needs more in focus, I would set the aperture to a higher number & vise-versa & let the camera only control the shutter speed to get the correct exposure.

You might want to take a look at your white balance options as well, some cameras can get the auto pretty good, however others can be quite shocking.

Thanks, i have a white 600T and i can set the white balance by half pressing the shutter while in settings. If i point at the case and do this, would that sound like a good way to set the WB?
