Settlers 2 (10th anniversary) HELP

Hi all,

Im currently playing Settlers 2 (10th anniversary) But im having trouble promoting my guards, can’t seem to get them past private so I keep getting owned 

Anyone have any tips at all?

you need gold and a mint, build a storehouse and a mint and a gold mine close together. then in all your other store houses deny rights to move these to other store houses

I also deny rights for coins in my guard houeses that are not on the enemy border, this way the coins go into the guard houses u want only

i completed it in like 2 days, good game

i'm getting a lot of Worker not in build or something like that, have a lot of mines and fishing stands with zzZZzzz :/

i have a mill / baker quite near

you need toolworks, or to give priority to the tools needed for those buildings if you already have a toolworks.

It tends to give priority to making butchers cleavers for example rather than pickaxes or the scyth.
