I'm assuming the servers are down for all. Does anybody have an info? I've been able to find nothing. This sort of DRM is a disgrace! Surely this is a breach of contract or something by Ubi?

Yep braught the game today big big thing going on about this i paid my money i brauht the game and it wont work. Austrailia have it worse there not getting any help at all and its not the 1st thing DRM has screwed them over with. I got it from a shop and as all pc games theres no returns but surly in this case there is ?. I mean as a customer if something you paid for wont even work at all not even SP as you must be conencted thats more than just a issue. it should be refunded and then what ever retailer braught these games they should get ther moeny back to.

I have assassins creed 2 not sure if its the same but yes its ubisoft runs fine but nooo not setters 7 are they really this stupid there goign to lock customers out ?. I think everyone involved with this issue needs to be isntantly sacked. google searching Settlers 7 server unavailble gives some posts peopel haev made about the issue but most is austrailia and now UK i thik are complaining.

I agree with you this is disracefull a game should just work after verifying which i have I expect to be able to jsut PLAY IT specially SP.

It drives me mental thinking how they've taken my hard earned money and I'm obviously already found guilty of being a pirate regardless of my working activation key.

I'm with you on the sackings! DRM of this sort will bring the industry to its knees long before piracy.

Yep i always braught games but thisi s the 1st time i want a hacked copy atleast its layable even if nto patachable. its soooo discracfull and if it isnt sorted soon i suggest everyone consider sueing them as thisi s clearly soem breach in law. Its not fault of the retailers as they sell a game they paid for and expect to sell only to be screwed over like us customers.

I remember being mad once playing GTA4 anbd windows live went down so i lost all my save points but that was once. DRM idiots got no exuse for locking most of the world out i dont even know howmany contrys have this issue but it needs to be changed this whole must be connected to servers is silly. I love steam its good for games and a nice platform for game launching getting awards all that but we dont need every game publisher to make there own version or our pcs are going to be clogged up with singing ins to just play games. it shouldnt be that complicated.

What law is it breaching exactly?

This is exactly why i havent bought AC2 and Settlers 7 i really want to play those games aswell.

Ubisofts new DRM tactics i suspect will fall apart with future title releases if sales drop because of this.

Also it seems today there is another new workaround to bypass AC2 that apparently bypasses the DRM.

I also think that surely this will drive legit pc gamers to pirate Ubisoft games because of this DRM,i dont think the top dogs at ubisoft have really sat down and thought about this at all.

Still no doubt they will make most of the money back with the console route with releases.

Well it's more failure to provide a service that you have paid for. False advertising perhaps.

Personally I'd be looking for a way to bypass the protection.

M.

As he said i went to a shop i brauht the gam installed it and like about 30 countrys cant play it because where i live. its no as simple as activate its not sure where you have to live but there are a few gams which peopkle cant play just because where they live. do you think retailers were told ok you can buy this game and sell it but none of your customers are allowed to play it.

ps thx for video it did chear me up abit just murderd a lot of noobs on MW2 pretending there were DRM workers so abit of anger relised :D. and yes the company will not stand a chance of selling games if they keep this level or customer abuse. If it dont work in a few days im going to seek compensation for it theres no excuss.

Shamikebab has obviously never heard of the trade descriptions act. Look it up. That can be the new thing you learned today.

I have heard of it thank you very much, I'm just wondering how exactly you could sue them over it. I mean you couldn't sue Microsoft if Xbox Live was down for a day could you?

As in, for any reason when I can't play the game while meeting all criteria. If it was scheduled downtime, fair enough, but unless they can reliably provide the service I have already paid for then the product is quite obviously not fit for purpose.

Any other argument would be null and void at that point. Either the "anti-piracy" system works or it doesn't, by law there should be no grey area.

Edit: By the way, it wasn't me that said about sueing them. I merely pointed out that I see it as a blatant breach of the trade descriptions act.
