Lovely Wolver-ampton!
Oooh... Remember this on the Amiga?

Used to spend hours and hours on it... Anyone played the latest PC version?

Its lost its way.
I remember the first one and the anticipation of waiting to play it. Only one ive got now is Settlers 4. And thats ok, but not as good as the previous incarnations.

yeah i've got settlers 6 (the latest one) it's ok! still cutesy, your little guys can get married now and everything, plus they get little pets and stuff too :D tbh i can't really remember what the other ones were like so i can't really compare. settlers 6 isn't difficult, you have a knight that can't die but has special abilities, like stealing gold, making troops cheaper etc, and to gain access to new buildings and troop types he needs to be upgraded.

can't really think of anything else to say! the missions are quite long, there's a couple of annoying ones but other than that it's certainly not difficult, but it is an enjoyable diversion.

settlers 2 - 10th anniversary or whatever was good, takes you back to the roots of the settlers game with fancy graphics.

I have that one and it is EXACTLY the same as the original Settlers II barring the new 3D engine. This is the ONLY spiritual successor to the orignal and I suggest every Settlers II fan get their grubby little mitts on it asap. :)

Settlers 3 was amazing in its time. I would still play it now but no one else does. The single player wasn't very good though. Online kicked ass... once you managed to get it to work.
