thats the current desk setup. as you can see very small desk. Ideally wish I'd built a bigger one back in the day.
Anyway,
I love the CRG9 but I've went through 3 panels, all with faults and I've now grown tired of trying to find the perfect one. Amazon are being arsey and I can still return it for £1050. The panel has been great except for black peformance which still isn't what I'd expect from something so expensive but much better than IPS.
I LOVE the 32:9 resolution for when it works.
Anyway, I recently read LG are planning to release a firmware update to include Gsync in their monitors and what they do 1440p/120hz. This has got me thinking, why not just get a C9 for the extra cash?
I know the main issue is burn in whic is why I've enquired with Currys & Costco for burn in protection.
My plan was to buy a C9, custom resolution an ultrawide resolution for any demanding games and otherwise play at 4k. I think the 3840x1600 will be quite nice as a compromise. It'll give me a similar physical field of view as my CRG9 but with an 80ppi rather than a 100ppi which I'm getting now. However the monitor will be further back. and wall mounted.
My desk is a simple desk like 55 inches by 25 or something. I'm wondering, is there a way which I can mount an alienware 34'' UW monitor to the side, so I can use it for non static content or any games where I'd want to push the refresh rate with a good response time and use my 55'' OLED for the big style impact games on the wall?
Space is sadly an issue so any inventive methods would be MUCH appreciated. Any hints, tips, tricks again, MUCH appreciated
I know I'm possibly crazy using an OLED for this but I've had enough of the panel lottery and stress involved.
P.S. The CRG9 is indeed amazing! However I feel like the OLED black levels are potentially calling to me and I will cry 1 year from now about IR/Burn in.
