Just a general query on this one really,

I know Twitch streamers use some good audio equipment, but when it comes to googling what they use, i'm not coming up trumps, I know they use good mics such as Rode, but I also hear the word mixer and stuff thrown around.

So i'd like to know if you was gonna start streaming, what stuff would you use? Considering i'd like to start twitch streaming in the future, i'd like an general idea what I should get, if things "were" to kick off.

i think the "blue" range of mics is regarded as really good value for money

i would get one of their mics (whatever you can justify buying) and a decent webcam or whatever else you need.

i think mixer is just a fancy gadget for editing audio, no idea though.

We know xD

I'd love to get a Yeti, but i have a problem, i'm getting interference on my mic when I start to play a demanding game, is as though when my graphics card has to work hard it does some horrible stuff to my mic, according to friend anyway :(

So I need to find a solution for that before I think about shelling out £150+ for a mic.

Using an Asus DGX sound card, The mic for the TB X12 is connected in the front mic port on my case, and my Sony XB400's are connected to the front port aswell.

that's your problem there, never use the front port it's inferior for both headphones and mics

a usb mic would solve this completely or swapping to the back

When I get home later I'll throw the mic in the back port of the sound card, don't know why i've never even thought about trying that, probably because I couldn' be bothered to wheel out a CM Haf X case from between my desk and wall :D Heavy thing it is.

For my headphones, It has to be plugged in the front as the cable is short, and only just reaches my head from the front of the case, though I get no problem with sound clarity with them, they sound 100% better than they did on the on board sound, thats for sure.

Cheers buddy.

don't be fooled by thinking it's only £2 that a £10 cable will be better or a £20 or £50 one.

so long as it's a short run less than 10m I don't think it really matters much at all the shorter the better though due to resistance being greater over longer distances.

I have kenable and monoprice 3.5mm jack to jack cables and I use kabeldirekt for HDMI, all brilliant in terms of quality and price.

In fact I need to order some kenable ethernet cables.

It was a 3m, which is quite an ideal length for me, one hour to go and i'll be on my way home to test the mic in the back.

I also ordered one of them clip on mics earlier, having a headset and headphones on the desk, its just too messy, and the wire is long enough to run over over the bars under my desk, Cable management ahoy!

This has kinda gone off topic, but that 3.5 extender came, and omg, the Clarity and the amount of bass that's appeared is magical.

For god sake, to anyone that purchase's an internal soundcard, don't you dare use the front panel, wow.
