Setup is stuck is a restart loop. please help

Here is the setup

AMD 6000 3.0 GHZ X2
M2N-SLU DELUXE
CORSAIR 800MHZ RAM
GTS 250
500GB HDD

Here is what happened first.

1. setup started up fine and indicated cpu has been changed and press f1 to continue

2. asked for bootable disc so i put in win 7 32 bit rc.

3. go to the screen where you have to click 'install now' (after you select the language)

4. setup just entered restart loop. ( fans spin up then power down, spin up, power down spin up and power down etc...)

any ideas would help

Is it OC'd at all?
Can you get back to the setup screen or does it just restart before POST. If it does restart before POST I'd suggest clearing the CMOS.

the setup has not been oc'd at all.

will clear the cmos and get back to you. thanx

now it posts and shows the display but will then shut down after about 10-15 seconds and sometimes it powers up again

could it be that the cpu is not supported?

Power button sticking somehow?!

Maybe disconnect it from the motherboard and short the connection.

Sounds like its overheating, have you been able to check temps in the BIOS?

changed the cooler. now the fans just spin up and turn off.

Reseated the CPU? Try with 1 stick of RAM if possible too, might be the voltages are out by default.

Ok I'd try one stick of memory at a time then.

Did you try disconnecting your power button?

might be worth building it outside the case to check somethings not shorting out

have done the memory thing.

ive built it outside the case

i think it might be the power supply. when the setip is turned on the fan on the psu stops as well. or is that not it

could it be a faulty mobo. ive changed the cpu as well
