Hello!
This file in question again and again suffers from terrible fragmentation problems, I defrag once a month usually and this always ends up being my most fragmented file. It's a 234 mb file that regularly shows up on top of my most fragmented files list, 2500 fragments just now
. I realize this is some kind of log file for when you install stuff but I still find it odd why it's so fragged each time...
In fact, my whole C:\ drive appears to be a magnet for fragmented files, when I record vids with fraps or xfire I regularly get them split up in hundreds of fragments, my openttd saves always save in 112 fragments on c:\. New games always install fragmented and I need a defrag after every game install...
While when I install/unpack/copy stuff to my g:\ drive, I never get fragmented files, the only fragmented files that I have found so far on this 750gb drive that is 65% filled were 2 30ish kb thumbnail files that were split into 2 fragments each.
So why does my 500gb c:\ drive always place files fragmented whenever I do anything with it and my 750gb g:\ drive always places it in one chunk without fragmenting anything ? And why is setupapi.app.log an especially bad condition file every time ?
