Just out of interest why?

Btw I'm not taking any offence at criticism, just asking as I've seen similar comments previously in regards to kids pics (not just mine). It seems with adults all different kinds of processing can be applied without issue but when it comes to children some people are of the opinion it should be a close to nature as possible and I just wondered why that was.
