Hi there,

I'd like to make my network completely functional for the purposes I intended over the next few months.

My network consists of two desktops and two laptops. One desktop is wired to a Linksys WAG354G adsl2+ modem router and the remaining desktop and two laptops are on wifi.
------
Problem 1- Wifi Range

At present the router sits in one corner of the house on the ground floor. I cannot move it elsewhere. The wifi desktop is on the first floor and approximately 18ft away. Wifi signal is fine and I don't get any drop outs.
The other two laptops also on the first floor are ~35ft and ~42ft away respectively get very weak to no signal.
What would be the most cost effective way to resolve this? I see two options:

- Booster ariel
- Powerline wifi adaptor?

Problem 2- Printer Sharing

The Printer, a Lexmark P6350 All in one is connected to the downstairs desktop via USB. While I've enabled printer sharing, I obviously can't print anything out from other PC's unless the downstairs desktop is switched on. I originally had the printer hooked to a server but since I've binned the server, I need an alternative.

Will this Linksys SP54 Print server do the job just fine?

Again, any cheaper options?

Problem 3- Network Storage.

Again since I got rid of my server I need an alternative. I've been looking at NAS enclosures to fit an IDE HDD in. I don't have many requirements. It just needs to reliably handle a HDD and allow me to have mainly documents and music shared on the network.

I've been looking on this page http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Maxtor_NAS.html

Out of the following, which would be my best option?
Akasa Integral P2 3.5" LAN Hard Drive Enclosure - Black (HD-003-AK)
Icy Box IB-NAS-2000-B 3.5" IDE HDD NAS Enclosure (HD-014-BT)
Icy Box IB-NAS900-B NAS Enclosure (HD-015-BT)

I've opted against the Netgear SC101 as a friend of mine had terrible issues with one of them.

Thanks in advance :)
