Well I installed Windows 7 (32b) on my new build loaded up everything to test and check everything was working no probs, the benchmark I used gave my system 85fps with everything maxxed.
3 nights ago I couldn't run the game(10 fps) let alone anything else, my processor had gone from an AMD Phenom II to an Intel Celery and it was losing memory faster than a banker at an inquiry.

I reloaded the OS did a mem test no probs found and the CPU is being reported as 3.41Ghz but still my system runs like it's powered by celery.
HELP ME PLEASE I'm not a veggie I like raw power!!!

Thanks in advance,

The specs are
AMD Phenom II 3.4
Asus Crosshair III Bios 1602
X-Fi Sound(the daughter board that comes with the MB)
8gig OCZ (2.8 avail) I'll be going 64 bit when I get an SSD
1g Hitachi main OS Drv
300g Seagate backup(IDE)
300g Seagate GameDrv(Sata)
19" Samsung monitor(native rez)

try turning off coolnquiet in the bios ?

Thanks for the reply.

I did a bare install with nothing added, bios had all the extras disabled I even used the MB manual to check I had only the essentials turned on in the bios. So it was and uncluttered bios and OS that still ran like celery, I'm now running install No 3 and reflashed bios(incase there was an error)
the once powerful AMD is REALLY weedy!!!
