Sex Education

Seems reasonable, some of these teens are sleeping around so much it boggles the mind, that must push the average up.

Perhaps I had/have the "wrong" friends then. :p

I'm 24 and most of the people I know have only had 2-3 so far having lost it at around 15-19... Then again there does appear (whether its right or wrong) that teens even a few years younger than me are became sexually active at a much younger age.

Some of the advice given to teenagers shocked me. I wonder what you guys think.

Example 1.
Gay guy says "I'm scared it'll hurt to take it from a guy".
Advice is "Use lube"

Example 2.
Lesbian says "I don't know what to do with a girl in bed".
Advice is "Here have a strap-on".

Is it just me who thinks this isn't the right stuff to say to teens?

Was the advice really that shallow and simplified, or are you paraphrasing? I'd be annoyed if my teenage kids were crap advice, but sex education generally can't be a bad thing.

billyseilu's post is misleading. They didn't just palm the teens off at all.

They explained a lot about same gender sex to the teens and generally made them feel a lot more comfortable/confident about their sexuality

I saw this the other day... lol'd also at the by age 16 you've probably had 3 sexual partners line.

That was about it though. What's the problem?

Wasn't my post, it's the OP who quoted the programme as having given one-sentence answers. I explicitly asked whether the advice given was that shallow or if the OP was paraphrasing. :)

My bad, edited post.

The show was a laugh anyway.

Horror story of a guy going down on a girl whilst using sweets, and unfortunately instead of eating a sweet. Apparently he accidently sucked out a genital wart?

Not like you'd notice of anything

I lol'd

My problem isn't with the advice given but with this car crash style tv fobbed off as "educational" or a "documentary" when they are neither. Channel 4 has been doing this for a while. Alas this style of program is now spreading to the BBC with crap like "Is oral sex safe?"

Just to reiterate I have no problem with education programs about sex or sexual related subjects. The continual dumbing down of tv I suppose. :(

Surely that is better than them deciding they want to stick something up their pipe and using something that could cause damage, like a beer bottle?

most female makesup stuff is designed to double up as a dilbo lol

not joking check out even the womens body sprays etc the cans are just the right diameter... why are the impulse cans so small compared to a mens deodarent etc? hmmm
