Worrying number of teenagers are swapping intimate or sexually explicit photos, called "sexts", on their mobiles, police say.

What caught my eye was "Although it is legal to have sex at 16 under British law, it is illegal to take, hold or share "indecent" photos of anyone under 18". I wonder how many people are aware of this ?

I wasn't aware that the legal age for indecent photos was 18 especially as the age of consent is 16

Saying that I do believe I received such indecent photos by someone who couldn't have been 18 at the time. Am i going to jail ?
