Im looking to build a SFF system to fit inside the cabinet beneath my TV. It is for light HTPC / Gaming / iPlayer / server use and so must be versatile!

I have the following parts spare:

HIS IceQ 4670
WD Green 2TB
Copy of Win7

and am happy enough with the performance of the 4670 as my TV is only 1366x768.

Im thinking that a build around the new sandybridge pentium G620 would probably suffice with a H67 mITX or mATX MB (both seem to cost about the same).

The cabinet is 205mm high, 390mm deep and 475mm wide - although the door to the cabinet is only 430mm wide so would pefer if the case was <430mm wide.

So, on to my Question!

What case would you recommend for the above?

I've been looking at either:

a Silverstone GD04/05 (would need to remove shelf and above items to jimmy it in through the 430mm wide door!); or a
a Sliverstone SG03/04 (on its side - would this work?)

Thoughts / opinions?

Why not look at a SG-05/06? It's only 176mm high and combined with a m-itx board will leave you plenty of room for something else next to it while taking your HDD and GPU.

Just a thought:-

You could sell the HD 4670 and either use just the G620 or use the proceeds from the GPU sale to get a i3-2100 and bung it into an Antec ISK-300/310 with a GA-H67N-USB3-B3.

Might look a little small in your cabinate, but small can be good :) Though you'd need another hard drive.

Other options:
Lian Li PC-C36 MUSE
Lian Li PC-C50

Or cutting a hole in the back and putting an Antec Fusion :)

I do really like the look of the SG-05! It is definitely on the consider list. Drawbacks would be that I'd prefer a full 5.25 bay and / or another 3.5 bay, and that I'm unsure on the PSU. Can anyone vouch for its quietness? It is good that it is 80+ though.
