Hi All,
I'm currently running the SFF system in my signature (in a Molex 669 case), hosting both Vista and Ubuntu (using VMWare Server). It's drawing approximately 70Watts at the wall.
I'm now looking to install HomeServer (Vail) alongside Ubuntu using VMWare Sphere, but at the same time hoping to reduce the power requirements. The case/cpu fans are also quite noisy so looking to replace everything.
So far, I've considered both mITX and mATX motherboards/cases (LanLi and Silverstone), the AMD Zacate and Sandybridge cpus because at idle there's not much difference is power draw?
Any suggestions on the best solution for both low power and quietness, while being able to support both Vail and Ubuntu server?
