SFF or Laptop?

Really torn between getting a new laptop or building an SFF. Ideally, I want something like the Dell xpS 15 9550 / Razer Blade but neither are just ticking the boxes ....primarily GPU power and noise.

I also checked out competitors like Gigabyte, MSI and Asus and found the various options to be cheap, poor'ish build quality and look like they were designed for kids

So after coming up stumped, I decided to start looking at SFF''s and building a system around something like a Corsair 380T. Now this isn't exactly ideal because unlike others, I don't have a dedicated room to game in. I sit on the floor with my back against the sofa in the living room and I play on a laptop like that and it's worked for me so far. I could setup an SFF on the dining table though it wouldn't be ideal really just because a) I like to watch TV in the background while playing on the laptop b) I like that I can sit on the floor which is carpetted and comfy c) When I'm done I just close the lid and pack the laptop away which would be much more clumsy/harder with an SFF

So I suppose the questions are:
* Is there, or likely to be soon, a Dell XPS 15 with a 1060/1070 gfx? The current 960m models are on sale in a lot of places and/or offering lots of cashback too
* Is there something like the Razer blade without the horrific noise? Infact is there any gaming laptop that doesn't sound like a hurricane?
* Does it make more sense to just build an SFF around the corsair 380T and pack it away whenever it's not being used? This just seems like a cumbersome option but if the trade is is top end gaming and silent operation I suppose that would sway me

Have you got a tv stand with shelves? You could get a SFF build in a case similar to a home cinema AV receiver like the silverstone grandae or whatever it's called that will house a proper power supply and a proper gaming system with the ability to tuck it away like its a console under the tv or get the best gaming laptop you can find for whatever your budget is?

I don't look at gaming laptops, but I think there are 980m models are there not? Doubt the 1060/70/80 or the new RX range be in laptops any time soon.
