SFF PC and Graphics card.

I have a pc currently running off onboard graphics. It has the following slots:

* Slot 1: half length, 1 lane PCI Express or 1 ADD 2-R
* Slot 2: half length PCI [version 2.2]

Does that mean I can buy an ATI 4850 or something and put it in there?

I didn't know there were different types of pci slots.

hmmm, i doubt that u can put it on that if yu dont have a good psu

unless you geta new psu/mobo then i highly doubt it

thanks - i forgot about psu considerations, the system has 225 watt supply.

A 1 lane PCI-E slot wont take a decent gfx card I'm afraid. Think you are stuck with your mobo gfx.

Not sure what PCI-E slot you have, but I have run a 8800gtx in a PCI-E 4X slot without any trouble.

If your half length PCI-E slot only has 1 lane then a low end card might be the way to go.

1 lane = very small and very slow. Good for TV tuners and eSata cards etc only.
