SFII Turbo

I get that a lot as well. If you are persistant, you'll get through, alternatively, host a ranked match and wait for someone to join.

I find that the best thing to do is host your own ranked match. I haven't had one time out that way.

The other way (quick ranked match) i've only connected twice.

No one has ever joined ones that I have hosted. Left it open for 10 mins too so im beginning to wonder if its a firewall issue. I can join games fine cept people cant join mine. Those that have hosted their own ranked games, did you change any firewall settings like forwarding ports etc?

UPDATE: This is the cheapest game i have ever played. Even the computer isn't as cheap as some of those Americans i have just played. If you catch someone about halfway when they are getting up and low kick them you can continue to do that for the whole match - you have to get the timing perfect though. Just had that done on me by someone playing as Bison (stupid slide effort) and lost, so in my anger i did it on the next 3 people and won easily.

SFII has made me cheap :(

snaking in mario kart? what do you mean?
You know the red boost you get when you power slide around corners? You can permanently keep that boost speed throughout any track including rainbow road by snaking. Search "Snaking mario kart" on google video. This technique has existed in all mario karts bar the SNES version but many people only came across it due to online play and hence whine that it is cheating despite nintendo purposely implementing snaking into the game.

People whined about the exact same thing in mario kart with snaking. It CAN be avoided if you are good enough.

It can't be avoided if your opponent has the timing perfect, which this guide obviously did. The Same can be done with Ryu and Ken's low sweep things.

OK, I'll concede because I don't know enough about it but I would have thought that you could avoid getting into that situation in the first place.

I am a streefighter player and have been for around 15 years and am ranked 58 for xbox live at this game so far

This can be avoided i have had people try to do it to me, is it hard to counter?

YES

Is it cheap against someone quite new to the game?

MAYBE

But if your good enough you can get out of it with ease belive me i know and i would be quite happy to play anyone who thinks they can do this to a skilled player to prove my point

^ Was only 70% sure that was the case because I haven't played the 360 full version of SFIIHF and didn't want to argue unless I was sure I was correct. Thanks for the info.

lol. i know u can block a sweep or bissions annoying slide, but iv found if someone times it right it near impossible to stop. managed to stop it like once a bit ago, but thats it.

tbh id like to try that just outta interest (XBL tag in sig), as when someone starts this with Bison especially i have basically lost already in most cases. Bison's slide has got to be amongst the top 5 cheapest moves in this game and high up in cheapness when conpared to DOA4 :)

ive had it done to me twice, but tbh i walked into the attack, its quite easy to avoid if you think about what your doing, theres bigger problems with SF2 than cheap tactics

it is damn hard to defend against! cos as said if the timing is spot on they get u b4 ya on your feet and get the chance to block its stupid

OK, I'm addicted to the demo and can't wait for my MSPoints to arrive!

All the special moves are really easy on the dpad after 5 mins of practise both ways (as ryu any way).
