I'm badly out of touch having ignored graphics cards since my last one caught fire a year ago. Having failed to follow the market, it's now just all numbers :(

What is the current sensible choice for a shortish card for a small silverstone? Slight preference for nVidia as I suspect they're still better for linux drivers, but not if AMD are currently leading by a fair margin.

Budget is £100 to £200 ish - I would prefer to be somewhere near the knee of the performance curve, but don't know where that is.

Thank you :)

Yep, that looks about right. Thanks. Went with the EVGA FTW variant based mostly on liking EVGA and the look of the cooler.

Cheers

I'd investigate the 960 if I were you.

Surely there is one that fits without modding the case.

My 970 fits in with loads of room to spare.

Quite pleased with the EVGA 750 to be honest, but thanks for the recommendation.

For anyone else considering the combination - the over-long 750 sold by EVGA fits in the silverstone sg05 with no fuss at all. Really helps to have the power socket on the top of the card instead of the back.

Cheers
