SGDQ 2014

Damn, I forgot all about this due to the footie. Just tuned in now watching some dude play BioShock 2. It's probably as exciting as E3 as I always watch in amazement at some of the tricks employed by these folks to miss out whole chunks of levels.

Just watching highlights of SGDQ 2013 and wow had to watch the Double Dragon Neon run proper - I need this game, its mental...

Gonna have to watch the 2014 runs after the event - WC first I'm afraid. Anyone sees anything epic please post :)

Some guy playing Sonic Unleashed. It's making me go cross-eyed just watching him! I don't know how he does it as the speeds are insane. (Insane to someone who's only played Sonic on Sega Megadrive!)

I'm most looking forward to Monty on the the run on the C64, and PJ's Super ghouls and ghosts run.

Hopefully he'll end up using the torch.

One thing that's immediately noticeable - the plethora of platform games that were available on early PlayStation/Nintendo consoles. Now there's only Wii U carrying the torch really.

I think I've just seen the most amazing thing in gaming ever. A chap completed Super Meat Boy with 106% and then went on to do the forest chapter with his eyes covered. Superb!

This has been a fantastic week. I'll be sad when it finishes tomorrow. Highlight so far has been the Halo:CE legendary speedrun. Tonight is Half Life 1+2, Portal 1+2, just glad Brazil v Chile finished in time.

Watched an awesome Borderlands speedrun with a brilliant final boss finish. I'm finding the European event not as polished (read: fun) as the Games Done Quick though. There's a lot of messing about.

Excellent.

Looking forward to the Mario maker segment. That was by far the highlight of a less than stellar AGDQ earlier this year.

I also notice that the Tetris block is back after missing AGDQ. If you want to see the pinnacle of gaming, then you have to watch that. It's truly mind-blowing.
