Hey guys,

Two issues that's causing me a lot of frustration!

1)im trying to set up my Superhub 2 in Modem Mode only..done that..restarted etc.

However once i do that i get no connection to my main pc thats hardwired to the proper port like as mentioned in the SH2 control panel.

2)Also another frustration,I'm going (well trying) to log into my second wireless router than im going to be using for the Wireless.

To log into that routers CP it says type "http://routerlogin.net"..this does nothing though.
i have the second router connected straight to my spare laptop via Ethernet cable to set it up separately before connecting it to the SH2.
Second router model = WGR614 v9

But im not having any luck.

any help appreciated.

Why are you connecting your PC to the sh when it's in modem mode? You need to set it to obtain ip by dhcp and you are exposing your PC to a public IP address (not a good idea).
You need to get a router into the SH then connect pc to that.

For your 2nd router you are relying on using the routers own DNS to point you to the config page, try an ip config to get the default gateway and navigate to that rather than the web address. Should work a charm.

make sure once you set the super hub 2 into modem mode that you then turn it off before connecting the router. I've found that without doing this the new router will not get an ip address, probably because of the mac address change from pc to router.

its more reliable to turn the super hub off and leave it, then once the router is wired up, turn the super hub on, wait a minute or so and then boot the router.

you might need to either restart your pc or run ipconfig -release and then ipconfig -renew in the command prompt to update the ip address.

^^^ As above.
Recently I changed my router behind the SH and noticed it seems to hand off WAN IP based on MAC address so do ensure you power cycle the hub after flicking it to modem mode.

In modem mode the other Ethernet ports don't do anything, you need to wire your PC to the router and the modem I to the wan port of the router

Got it to work, its because i didn't connect the main PC to the second router like mentioned above,i still had it connected to the Wan port on the SH lol.

I'm clueless when it comes to networking stuff.

thanks for your help though guys very much appreciated,
