Probably another thread about this, but it'll probably be a hundred pages long...

My question is is it worth 600points?

Is it a long campaign? Good story? Good game, that would be time well spent?

Any negative views are most welcome.

Cheers

Forget Arcade, I would say that Shadow Complex offered some of the most enjoyable gaming I have experienced. Along with Modern Warfare 2, it was my favourite game of 2009.

I would have felt satisfied having paid £30 for it, 600 points is a bargain. ;)

The run down in the words of the developers, 'it's massive exploration peppered with combat'. That's correct, there is MASSIVE exploration. The coolest part about the whole game though, is the progression. You improve your guns, you get more gadgets and utilities, and they enable you to reach previously inaccessible parts from places you have already visited. The story integration is pretty weak (and that's usually a very important aspect for me), but the gameplay is just so god damn fun than I didn't mind.

You will get maybe six to ten hours of gameplay out of it, depending on how thorough you are in finding all of the upgrades. But as I say, a damn fine game at a bargain price. ;)

This.

Thoroughly enjoyed Shadow Complex, if you think it's the type of game you'll enjoy then get it as it's very well made.

Well this one passed me by. Super Metroid is one of THE best games in the history of the world, so for 600 MS points, I am sold.

Cheers for the info :)

Damn was interested then realised it was Gold users only

Edit: And thanks to the 1 month free code I didnt know I had that was still sitting in my GTA4 case (shows how often I've played it!!) its now mine :)

Worth 1600 MSP let alone 600 its a great 2D old style platfrom game with a massive map & around 20-30 hours of gameplay in all!

Thanks for the feedback, I have bought it, just need to make sure I dedicate enough time to it, or else it sounds like I would be bypassing a classic(love super metroid).
