Shadowplay Intermittent Audio Stutter

So I was just playing around with the settings in Shadowplay and I've tried recording at a low bitrate of 30MB and the maximum bitrate of 130MB, Both give intermittent audio stutter.

What gets me is that before uploading the videos recorded with Shadowplay, I play them in Windows and they are flawless but as soon as they are uploaded to YouTube they begin to have intermittent audio stutter.

I can record the exact same clip of a game with Fraps, Mirillis or DXTory, Edit, Upload or even not edit them and upload raw footage and there will be no intermittent audio stutter, Only happens with videos recorded using shadowplay, Doesn't matter weather it's been edited and uploaded or just uploaded.

You'll notice audio stutter every 2-5 seconds, Again this does not happen with Mirillis Action, Fraps or DXTory -

Action Mirillis, No intermittent audio stutter -

Shadowplay, Audio stutter every 5 or so seconds -

Anyone seen this before or is it just Shdowplay being crap ?

Are you encoding first or just uploading straight from the raw file? Could you possibly host a small file that you recorded and I will download it, then upload and see what happens.

Neither the Shadowplay or the Mirillis one are edited in any way, Literally just recorded and uploaded.

I tried encoding the Shadowplay video but it just gave even worse results, the Mirillis video is completely fine, Just Shadowplay that's having issues.

I'm uploading to Mediafire now and I'll post the link once it's done, Appreciate the help bud :)

We will get there. I have a dedicated capture card that HiVizMan kindly sent me (Avermedia) and I find ShadowPlay does a better job and only costs around 3% performance.

I am sure between us we will find out what the issue is.

Thanks bud.

Well so far I have tried the following.

Recorded without any overclock on both CPU and GPU, Low bite rate, High bit rate both for audio and video, FPS cap, Re-installing drivers etc... Shadowplay just gives really odd intermittent audio stuttering once uploaded, No clue why.

Are you recording using shadow play with the Nvidia software or have you tried recording using Dxtory but using the shadowplay codec?

It's only Shadowplay that gives the intermittent stutter, All other software works perfectly :(

Well when the file is ready to download, let me know and I will grab it and see if there is anything obvious.

Just for clarity, what OS are you using?

I'm not entirely sure how it works with Nvidia, but with AMD i can either use the raptr app or whatever it is to record / stream, or I can use dxtory and use the AMD codec potentially giving the same result or I can use a different / standard codec.

I've tried shadowplay as well, and it always has that stutter. It also drops my framerate more than Dxtory does.

I also have an issue where if I turn on Shadowplay it disables SLI, even if SLI is still enabled in the Control Panel. Only way I fixed it was to clean out the drivers in Safemode and reinstall.

Well the raw file has the stutter for me but when I put it on to Vegas, no stutter. I am encoding it now and seeing what happens. Could be a codec thing?

I'd be leaning towards audio codec (possibly audio driver?).

Are you recording to an SSD?

I am positive it is an audio codec thing. I have encoded it with Vegas and the file is perfect now. I played it with VLC and stutter in the audio every few seconds.

Weird, now there is some strange popping after uploading :(

Edit:

Comparing audio bitrates, yours is 187kbs and my files are 196kbs.

Well thanks for all the effort bud, Think I'm gonna stick with Mirillis for the time being and just wait for an update to Shadowplay.

Sucks that you got suspended too :(

well i used shadowplay tonight and i can honestly say i had no audio problems at all, graphic card is gtx 970

Lucky :)
