Shadowplay mouse button PTT?

I had previously used a regedit hack to enable using mouse button 5 for PTT in shadowplay, but since updating to the beta for the better streaming options, this doesn't seem to work anymore. Any ideas on how to get around this without having to remap the mouse button to a keyboard value?

I can't believe they haven't got this as a default feature!

Its unbelievable how game recording programs don't have mic options. I scratch my head so much when they think open mic is good.

Raptr is the same, I have posted feedback so much to try and get this added. For Raptr I just can't use my mic while recording.

Can't you do this regedit to change it to mouse button 5?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\ShadowPlay\NVSPCAPS" and modified the key is "MicPTTHKey0". I changed the value to "06 00 00 00" which is mouse button 5.

Yeah this worked perfectly for me before, but since the update to the beta version it doesn't work anymore. I think it might be to do with the removal of the always on/PTT button. I was hoping someone else might have encountered a working fix for the beta.

Sorry cant help but cant believe they haven't added this in yet, was literally the only thing missing from shadowplay for me when I was on nvidia. That was a while ago now.

the whole shadowplay software is the biggest thing I miss after switching to AMD.

Thinking about im sure I once used a piece of software that mapped mouse keys to keyboard keys as well, so I would map mouse button 5 to some random key and set that as my PTT button. let me look through my programs.

EDIT*

It was called Autohotkey but since googleing it seems like the software has grown a bit compared to the quite light program I have that is a simple, if I press mouse button 5 also press random keyboard key.

Yeah I was hoping to avoid doing that tbh, and I think I will keep digging for a way to make it work as it should. That regedit actually works for the main release, so God knows why the beta broke it.
